Donald's Story
Life
Taught school for 12 years, continued getting educated by taking classes in accounting. I went to work for the Oregon Employment Department as an accountant, Tax Auditor, and finally as a Tax Technician (30 years of service). That job included teaching various classes to other Oregon employees.
Currently living near Eugene Oregon and retired from Oregon Employment Department. Still running a small tax business. I do accounting for non-profits. I serve on the boards (as treasurer) for my local SPEBSQSA (Barbershop Harmony) chapter and for the Evergreen District. In 2019 I was honored to be inducted into the Evergreen District Hall of Fame for my service as treasurer.

o serve on the Evergreen board. In addition to running a small income tax preparation business, I also serve AARP as at Tax-Aide. I give them one day a week doing tax returns during the tax season. I received my 5-year pin in 2020.
I again elected to continue learning and studied for and passed the 3-part exam to be an Enrolled Agent. That is a person enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
You are never too old to learn. My thanks to all those young folk who sat (sometimes) in my classroom over the years. There are times I figure you taught me more than I taught you. Thanks for helping me find a path in life.
