Donald's Story
Life
Well, now where do I start?
I finally retired from the US Army on December 31, 2006 after twenty years of proud, patriotic service to my country, serving all over the US and overseas. I worked for Lockheed Martin for a few months after retiring from the Army before accepting a job as System Manager of Biomedical Engineering for Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston, Texas, then relocated to Dallas for a job with ARAMARK Healthcare as Biomed Director for Medical City Dallas Hopsital before moving on to work for Lighthouse College developing a new AAS degree program in Biomedical Equipment Technology. I relocated back to Houston after accepting an executive-level leadership position as System Director of Clinical Engineering for CHRISTUS Health, a large faith-based health system comprised of almost 350 facilites, hospitals, clinics, etc. My wife and I have been married since 1995 and we have a beautiful 10-year old daughter.
Thanks to "Uncle Sam" I have now been in the Biomed field over 24 years and received a majority of my leadership, management & technical skills,...Expand for more
and experience from the military. Thanks to the modern-day Army, I was also encouraged and provided the opportunities to earn my civilian education. I've earned an MBA, University of Phoenix; Master of Science in Strategic Leadership, Mountain State University; Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education/Biomedical Equipment Technology, Wayland Baptist University; Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Education/Corporate Training and Development, Wayland Baptist University; Associate of General Studies, Pikes Peak Community College; Occupational Instructor Certification, Community College of the Air Force; and become a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
So, you can see I've been a little busy over the past 25+ years, but Iove all the life experiences coming at me. Please feel free to contact me so we can catch up. I would love to hear from old friends and see what you've been up to!
