Donald's Story
I did not live in Bartlett. Just outside off US 20 on a mink farm. My eighth grade seat was second row third desk. Loved my teacher and hated to have to leave to go Elgin High School.
I would sure like to get into contact with or hear about a girl in my class.I believe her name was Edna Lauwert. I saw her last a couple years after graduating in Villa Park. She played the guitar, wrote poetry, wrote songs and sang.
I would like to hear about anyone who went to Bartlett. How about you, Ronnie Schmidt?

hecked ( 2/14/09 ) an MSN aerial view map of Bartlett. The only thing I see the same is some of the streets, the tracks and the depot. All the houses north of the depot are gone. The school seems to be in the same place but now is gigantic. I can't even find where I used to live. I guess that is what happens when the town grows from a population of 200 in 1946 to now over 36000. I miss the little town. I'll have to make it a point to drive back and take a new look. Maybe I'll even have to wait at the traffic light.
