Donna's Story
After graduation in 1975, I attended Occidental College for my freshman year. I loved it and did really well, but could not afford to return to a private school. I switched to UC Riverside in 1976 and graduated with a degree in Liberal Studies (major in English Literature, minor in Statistics) in 1979. I received a Masters degree in Library Science in 1981 from UCLA. Since then I have worked in academic libraries in Maryland, North Carolina, Nevada, and California, with a brief stint as Children's Librarian at the Ontario Public Library for a couple of years. versity of La Verne in La Verne, CA for 21 years now. I love working with the faculty and students, and all of the access available to information using the internet is incredible!
I hang out mainly with my family--my brother Baffrey and his wife Brenda are here in Cherry Valley; my Mom and Dad live in San Jacinto; and my brother Charles works at ULV as well as Chief Editorial Director in the university's Marketing and Recruitment Dept. ; he lives in Ontario. I spoil my nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as much as I can. I love being an aunt, since I can send the kids home to their Mom!
