Donna's Story
Life
Went to Milan Grade School then Milan High till moving to Norwalk.
Got married to Tim Rigby in 1963 in New London Conn. then moved to California where we reside now.(And they said it wouldn't last...lol) We have four children, 14 grandchildren(and recently our daughter adopted Angelo our newest addition ) and a great grandchild born April 5, 2005. She is beautiful and her name is Timi-Jade Rigby. She was 7 lbs. 5 ozs. and 20 & 1/2 inches long. Great grandma waited right there at the hospital for 30 hours for her arrival. It's a wonderful experience! For me anyway. lol Now I spend some time on here looking for old friends and classmates. As you can see in my most recent photo; I have decided to go "red" for awhile. That's what happens when you get old and bored; the only thing you can change is your hair color...lol
College
Between having children and working; I took some college classes at our local college (Antelope Valley Community College) My interests were English, Social Studies, Drugs and Behavior....Expand for more
I had planned a career in counceling but, changed directions later.
Workplace
My first on the job training was for Lockheed Aircraft. I was taught to drill holes and shoot rivets and put airplanes together. (are you scared yet..lol) When my knees could no longer stand the pain and I had also worked for Rockwell and LTV, I decided to change direction and use my brain and got a job with Rockwell in the Cost management department as a Statistical Aide to the Analyst.(I did the work and they presented it.) In 1989 I went to work for Jones Intercable as a customer service representative. I enjoyed it so much that I did it for ten years. When I left Jones; I went to work for Starwood Hotels and Resorts as a representative for three months and was promoted to the Support Desk as an analyst which I did for four years until illness (heart attack) forced me to leave. Now, I just enjoy being mom, grandma and great grandma. (oh yes, and wife) I enjoy hearing from old classmates and friends that I have found or that have found me.
