Donna's Story

Life Married twice, mother of a daughter and a son by my first marriage. When I married my second husband I acquired my 3 step-daughters.I was employed by Community Hospital for 11 years, before my husbands employer transferred us to Huntsville,Alabama in 1988.I was then employed at a hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.I also worked for Bradford HS in Madison. Before my husband died,I worked a short time in Walmart in Athens. We lived on five acres in Athens, until my husband died of cancer in 2002.We loved animals and raised many while we were there. He loved to go to the flea markets and we did that quite a lot. I have now returned to Indiana. I am now a grandma to 10 grandchildren. It is important for me to be in Indiana now, so I can enjoy the grandchildren. They do keep me busy! My 2 children ,both graduated also from Warren Central. Three of my grandchildren have moved within walking distance of my home and we see each other every day. They are ages 16,11 and 10 years of age. We live in South Madison County,Indiana, now. The other grandchildren live in Anderson, Indiana. One step-daughter lives in Jonesboro,Arkansas,as of 2007. The one thing that everyone would be shocked about me, is the fact that I am no longer that little skinny girl everyone remembers. When I hit the 45 age, everything fell apart and I have been replaced by some fat chick. ha Well not really fat but a lot larger than what everyone would remember me as being. Most people just say I look healthy now. That is not really true, I have several health issues attached to me now. I 'd much rather be...Expand for more
healthy and thin. Oh well I am still the friendly girl everyone knew me to be. Hope to chat with some of you soon. I may need to clarify the question page, about what kind of animals I have or would like to have. After having a small farm in Alabama, I really found how sweet goats and sheep can be. They were so cute and fun to watch, even the older ones. I had some real experiences with them. We had the Nervous Goats/Fainting Goats and they are a neat animal. I got drug some 10-20 feet when I tried to help my husband catch one of them,ha. The goat had gotten out of the pasture, past an electric fence.Once he got shocked he did not want to go back across the fence to get in the pasture.I think it messed up his nervousness. We also had chickens and you would be amazed how smart a chicken really is. They have a built in clock that lets them know when it is time to eat, or go to roost for the night. I guess you can say, I am a farm lover. That is a part of my life that I am missing today. Maybe I could sneak one in,ha. I love my dogs too, but I am saddened, as I had to put my oldest dog to sleep recently and I miss her bad. I still have my little boy dog.He is a sweet heart, just demanding at times. He is not to well either. He is so picky and thinks he should not eat dog food. He keeps his pancreas flared up all the time. I am anxious to talk to some old classmates, although,I have trouble finding time to correspond.I will someday when I get a moment. Since I moved back to Indiana it has been a rather busy life. So I will be chatting with you all soon, I hope. IndyDo
