Donna's Story
Life
I live in Montrose, CO now and love it here. I love being just minutes from the mountains. My life is for my son, to get him raised to be a good person and see him succeed. We love to go camping, fishing, to the movies, etc. I love the outdoors more than anything, would rather spend a day just relaxing in the mountains, or atv's, than anything. I am a positive go-getter, I don't dwell on what I can't or don't have, if I don't like the way things are going, I am the only one who can change that, it is up to me. I don't accept things as they are, if I don't like it, I change it. I work hard to succeed, I do not let things stand in my way. I can definitely say that I am not the person I once used to be.
My Kids
I have a 14 year old son who's name is Brent. His is in 9th g...Expand for more
rade this year. He has blonde hair, hazel eyes. He is my life. I have been blessed with him in my life.
My Job
I am currently employed for Hilltop, at a residential treatment facility for boys ages 12-18, I work directly with the boys. I have been there now for 2 years and love it. I feel rewarded when I can help a youth in need, especially these days, teens have so much pressure on them in society itself. I love the fact that I can make a difference in someone's life. I once had someone help me when I was going through a really hard time and she gave me the inspiration to do what she did for me. Understanding and someone to talk to. I received my bachelors degree in Human Services/Management and getting started on my Masters in Psychology for an emphasis in Family Therapy.
