Donna's Story
I am an Artist and a Child Counselor and Theraputic Staff Support.
After high school I just kinda putted around and found a job at a nursing home stocking shelves and cleaning. Soon after that I married and moved to Wheatland. Pa. My husband became a South West Regional Police Officer and I worked at Mercer County Association for the Retarded. In 1996 I decided it was time to go to college, so at 30 years of age, I did, (talk about a late bloomer). harpsville. I continued doing art and I enrolled at Penn State Shenango fand completed four years . I received a Bachelor Degree in Human Development an Family Studies in 2000. I then went on to work with troubled youth at VisionQuest for ten years as a counselor, which was a wonderful experience. I am working towards a Masters Degree at Clarion University. I was also employed thru Youth Advocate Program Inc. as a TSS. I love the work and enjoy the children. By 2019, I spent 20 years working with children. I am currently disable but continue doing artwork. I currently reside in Lancaster and work from my art studio at Station One Center for the Arts.
