Donna's Story
Life,
Has been an incredible journey with many ups and downs. I have been blessed with two wonderful sons and two beautiful grandchildren. My family is close knit and we enjoy all being in the same general area. I am fortunate that I still have both my parents and a grandmother.
My Kids
My son Terry is 31 and has his own construction business. He built his 2nd new home three years ago and lives not far from me with his wife Brooke and my adorable grand-daughter, Katie. Katie will be 2 in December and is the most amazing and beautiful little girl, (no bias here). It is so incredible to see my child with his own.
My son Douglas is 27 and works at an optical company as a lab technician. Doug is my nomad and has lived in Georgia and North Carolina. Fortunately for me, he has always come back and now lives in a nearby town. He is currently single and enjoys the beach, m...Expand for more

My step-grandson Ryland, just turned 8 on September 28th. He has been in the family since he was nine months old and is such a joy.
My Job
I have worked for Siemens (Stromberg Carlson), now Nokia Siemens Networks for 34 years. I now work in OM&L in the order management department. The company is moving it's operations to Irving, Texas. I have declined the offer to move there and am currently training new personnel to transition the business by November 7, 2008. After 34 years with the same company, I will be looking for a job. A little scary but looking forward to some new opportunities and challenges.
Workplace
As I stated above, my current employment is drawing to an end. I am looking forward to some time off and changing careers. I don't know yet what I want to do but I have several ideas and will see what comes my way.
