Donna's Story
As many of you know, I moved to Texas our senior year of high school. It was quite a culture shock - and I might add, an unpleasant one. I thought I had left civilization and gone back in time 20 years. It was the end of the world - or so I thought.

rue happiness.
I have been teaching school for 31 years now. I get so much fulfillment out of it. I cannot imagine myself in any other career.
Here in Texas, I also met and married the most wonderful man in the world. My husband Mike and I have been married for 20 years. We have two wonderful daughters. Our dream is to retire to a few acres of land where I can raise a garden of vegetables and herbs and Mike can ride his tractor.
My favorite thing to do is to sit, sipping my coffee, on the deck under the oak tree in my back yard and enjoy the morning breeze while watching the birds and squirrels who visit my feeders. I find the closeness to nature renewing to my spirit.
As you can see, I enjoy the simple things in life like family, friendship, and a love of nature.
