Donna's Story
Life
Hi everyone! After school I lived in Sacramento for about 20 years and worked mainly as a legal secretary. Now my husband and I live in Visalia. My husband, Darryl Grant, is the owner of Grant's Air Conditioning and Heating in Visalia. We have four adult children and seven grandchildren -- 4 boys and 3 girls ranging in age from 12 years old to 1 year old. We enjoy traveling, flying our airplane (Darryl is a pilot) and doing volunteer work with our church. We also have a hotrod truck and travel to car shows all over California & Nevada where we've received numerous trophies. This past year we were honored to have our truck on display at Autorama in Fresno (a "by invitation only" show). I've run into a few of you on the car show circuit and I'm still in touch with most of the "old gang." I've made it to most of the reunions, although I missed the last one because my husband's reunion was on the same weekend in Long Beach. Hope to see you at the next one!
Update: We have a new home in San Felipe, Baja, Mexico. We have a view of the Sea of Cortez, the mountains and the desert. We absolutely LOVE it there -- the people, the beach, the food...Expand for more
, the entertainment and our church -- it's all great! We still have our house in Visalia, but Darryl is retiring at the end of this year (2007), so who knows -- maybe we will do as a lot of our friends have done -- sell all of our U.S. property and live in Mexico full time. However, we still have 4 grandchildren in Visalia (3 in Texas) so we will probably keep some sort of residence in the U.S. -- just something smaller and easier to take care of than the big house we have now. It's time to downsize!!! If you are reading my profile, LEAVE ME A MESSAGE! (SMILE)
Update 5/08 It's happening even sooner than I anticipated!!! We are selling our house in Visalia -- know anyone who wants to buy a custom built home that's only 3.5 years old and is in a great neighborhood in Visalia? Asking price $539,000 and worth every penny of it! We just bought a 5th wheel and we've decided to move full time to our Mexico casa! We will be using the 5th wheel for traveling to see our relatives in the U.S. California, Texas, Alaska, Kentucky and North Carolina -- we can hardly wait to hit the road!!!
