Donna's Story
I'm now a registered nurse/nurse analyst working for a medical software company which keeps me pretty busy with traveling. Currently it has me heading to Pittsburgh, PA to help design, build and implement our medical software to be used within major hospitals and physician offices.
After graduating, I attended Virginia Tech where I received a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising. I worked as an assistant manager for clothing store until I returned back to school for my nursing degree at Hampton University. After working for a few years with ventilator, stroke and orthopedic patients, I went back to school for a masters degree in nursing informatics. I now reside in Florida but hoping to move back to Greenbelt, Maryland where I lived for 4 years. I volunteer with an organization that works with sick kids and their families called Starlight Starbright Foundation. I also recently finished writing a fictional book which is currently being edited and am working on another book as we speak in hopes this will be the beginning of a career as an author. I'm still seeking that house to call my church home but prior to moving to Florida I was quite active at my church in Maryland's deaf ministry and Willing Workers ministry. I enjoy local outdoor jazz events and my love of bellydancing, which I have been doing for about a year now, has become my exercise of choice.
