Donna Jean's Story
Overall, life has been good to me! Laughter and good humor are corner stones to my life. If you have a good joke, a human interest story, a dream to develop, or even a tall-tale, please share it with me. I'd love to hear from you. (8D) Contact me through Classmates. There is so much to catch-up on, share, discuss and explore together. Life's wonderful twists and turns add such color and shape to our being alive! My youngest of three children, Christa Marie graduated from the Brooks Institute of Art, Design and Photography with a BA in visual communication, protraiture in June 2008. She is a free lance photographer and greatly enjoys finding and sharing a person's soul in her portraits. She also enjoys event photography such as reunion, weddings and special occassions. She graduated from WVW High School in June 2004 and earned the status of "Distinguished Senior!" Her art work has been on display at the PA State Capitol in Harrisburg, at local Libraries, at the PA Fine Arts Festival and is now
on permanent display in Wyoming Valley West's School District. A Student Ambassador to Australia, Christa represented President Eisenhower's People to People Program. She was also a PA State 1st place winner in The American Coed Pageants in Speech, Essay, Design, Spirit of America, Modeling, Photo, Academic Achievement & Outstanding Participant! Christa represented PA as a National Am Coed Finalist in Disney over the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Holidays. She won in three areas: "Spirit of America, Outstanding Participant and Miss Victory", runner-up. She also earned a positiion on PA' Miss American Coed Queen's Court in 2005 and 2006. She is PA's 2006 AmCoed Winner of the Miss Hostess Award, Academic Achievement Award, Volunteer Service Award and Runner-up in Speech, Modeling, Essay, and Photogenic. Christa wants to travel & develop her skills and talents as an artist and photographer. In Sept 2004, she entered College in Phila., PA to earn her Associates Degree at the Antonelli Institutes of Art, Design and Photography. She concluded her A.A. with a 3.9. Christa plans to set up her own photo business. Christa transitioned into Brooks Institue of Photography's BA program in the Fall of 2006 as an Advanced Standing Upper Division Student. Our son, Jeff completed nursing school in 1991 and is an RN. His son, Christopher is now out of college and has stated his family, giving us our third great-grand son! Our...Expand for more
older daughter, Lisa is now in business for herself. She and her husband Michael have 2 sons: Julian and Adrian who are in middle school. Both are musicians. Yes, our older kids: Jeff and Lisa are 21 and 18 years older than Christa. The love of my life, my husband, Walter was taken too soon from our lives through cancer, but his legacy lives on through our family. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master of Social Work degree in 1975 from Marywood Uni. Over my years in public and private practice I had developed a number of model programs which had earned great acclaim and have been incorporated into other practices. I wish I would have marketed and clone them. Currently, I live in excruciating debilitating pain 24/7 as the result of an accident; but, I continue to seek out the "Upside of Down!" Watch for my book -LOL (8D) and Life goes on.... I'd love to hear from my friends and classmates. My world wide travel, camping, biking, cross country skiing and hiking is no more/My physical endurance is poor, I can sit for only minutes and walk even less. The computer, phone, books, t.v. and magazines are my windows to the world I once traveled freely, frequently and spontaneously- Now, I do such through the Internet and through contacts with family, friends, associates and others. Kenny and Bonnie Resinski, from St. Francis University, inspired me to dream big, "Reach Higher...Go Far." Any thing you can conceive, you can achieve! Go for it!
Kenny and Bonnie are terrific Teachers, Mentors, and life-time friends! Remember there is "drama and comedy in life, and it is not just on stage at the threatre." I love you two!

St. Agnes girls, remember when we borrowed the "Dubois Beer" sign and placed it in Jackie's (our RA's) room... Getting it past our House Mother, Mrs. Monfort and campus security was trickie at best! BUT we did it! LOL
