Donna's Story
Wow, has it been 30 years? I don't feel that old, but I am much wiser. After HS I worked at McCormick's Ent. (marching band equipment sales) while I attented Arlington Academy of Beauty. After graduating, I worked in a barber shop for a year, then decided it wasn't a full-time gig for me. Worked part-time in marketing for Teledyne Getz (dental mfg.) and did hair for seniors and hospital patients taking my scissors to them. y up to Sales Analyst. When the company moved to New Jersey, I was able to work from home and consult for them. Traveling was exciting and I got to see a lot of New York city. Shortly after my last trip there, I got pregnant. My daughter is now 11 years old. She is mostly a joy and keeps me very busy with coaching her softball team, upright bass lessons, schoolwork, aikido, girl scouts, etc. My husband and I have a CNC woodworking business and so I also do the accounting for him...and whatever painting of signs needs to be done. We've been married for 20 years and live in Algonquin for 19 years.
