Donna's Story
Life
Born on the North Shore of Boston. Went to St. John's & Clarke for elementary school and Shaw Jr. High for 7th/8th grades. Moved to Santa Barbara in August, 1975, spending 9th grade at La Colina Jr. High and high school at San Marcos. Attended 2 years at UCSD in La Jolla, 2 years at SBCC and then graduated from Cal Poly, Pomona with a Business-Finance bachelor's degree. Worked as a financial analyst for many years. Married to Roy, a systems engineer, in 1988 at the Santa Barbara Mission. Moved to Sacramento in 1989. Mother to Andrew and Timothy. Active in our church. activities, and traveling. Very involved with my sons' schools, including extensive volunteer work and employment for a few years as an instructional aide/sub teacher at their elementary school. Was a founding member of the College & Career Planning committee of their charter school, with a strong interest in helping high school students and their families with the college admissions journey. Completed a post baccalaureate certificate in College Counseling from UCLA in Nov. 2013. Currently pursuing employment in a local high school as well as establishing an independent college admissions consulting practice. Grateful for many blessings!
