I have been a teacher at Fort Campbell for more than 25 years. I taught at the high school level from 1978 to 1996. I then took at position through central office that let me visit other classrooms and schools on the post. I did that until 1999 and then went back in the classroom. on at one of the elementary schools opened and I became a first grade teacher. BIG STEP! I had dual licensing for elementary and seconday, and I'm glad I got the chance to make a change. I'm having fun and the children are shorter than I am, not like it was at the high school level! They were great, but I'm having fun now!
