Donna's Story

Life Well, I'm going to fill this out if it kills me! I am the mother of three, two girls one boy, grandmother of six, four boys, two girls. I've been a Chicago police officer for 21 years, 22 in March and looking forward to retiring in three years! I am happily single/divorced and enjoying life! I own a two story Victorian in Englewood which I purchased dirt cheap about six years ago and made it beautiful again. A full city lot came with the house so I am able to indulge in my passion for gardening, no real food, but lots and lots of flowers! When I'm not working or playing in the dirt, I'm either reading Sci-fi, playing my Xbox, or trying to find a new second hand store or looking for bargains at flea markets. *Update* It is now 2008 which means I am just that much closer to retirement! going to plan a big retirement party to be held at the South Shore Cultural Center in Aug. 2009. I quit smoking 4 months ago and I'm still smoke free and getting fat! :-( I hope to lose the weight and stay smoke free. During one of my jaunts to the second hand store I stumbled across a beautiful "waterfall" style buffet from the early 40's late 30's. Those are rare and it's in great condition, I haven't decided to buy it yet, but the price is so good! I'm just wondering, where the hell I'm going to put it! July 4 2011 I have retied! It's been a year and in that time I have opened a cafe. Guess I just can't keep still..lol It's at 1255 S. State if anyone cares :-) I'm there most days I get there at 7 to prepare to open at 8, then I'm there till closing, at 8. Not much time left for fun. Hope life is being good to you guys!
