Donna's Story
Ok, long time, short story version... I started nursing school after graduation, never made it through... got married, moved to Billerica with hubby, had 2 baby girls, (the lights of my life) moved to Hudson, NH with hubbby, got divorced, moved to Derry NH with girls, they grew up, moved on, I met a great guy - retired fire fighter (capt) we moved to SC, got married (back in NH so all friends could be there) bought a house, have 2 dogs, gallons of fish. We both work for a public charter school - I'm business manager, he's building supervisor. He has summer off, I don't. Lucky him! We love our life here. We miss our families up north, but have lots of visitors - to the extent that the extra keys to the house for visitors are on tags that say "Fairhurst Motel" LOL. Love it!
Ok, I've completed all the quizzes and for the most part, they're funny. Otherwise the hubby and I spend too much time watching sports on TV - mainly the Sox and the Pats. The family keeps us up to date on the Celtics and Bruins. We lost a bit of interest in those two after the 70's - at least enough to not watch so many games! We have MLB.TV to ...Expand for more
watch the Sox, and a favorite hangout for the Pats. We actually have our own table... yes, we do spend too much time there too.
Although I love to cook, there's only the two of us and there are more restaurants here than I could ever imagine. So, we've found a few that are comfortable to us, and a few we opt for on occasion. But for the most part, it's out to eat... which is another reason why it's the "Fairhurst Motel"... no restaurant on the premises, lol.
I joined Classmates to reconnect with all the kids I graduated with. Although I don't think most remember me. I was the drum majorette for the band, so the band members may remember me, and some of the actual majorettes and drill team... but others, I'm not so sure. I really have no idea how people saw me then.. I really don't think I thought about it much then, or now. In any case, there are some I remember and would love to reconnect with, some I don't recall until I see the names and check the yearbook and then do the "oh ya, now I remember"...
Well, that's it for now. Let me know what you think, where you are and what you are doing! I look forward to it.
