Life
I attended Murray State University; graduated from Austin Peay in 1966 with a degree in Business Education. I also hold Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY. Also, Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY was kind enough to grant me an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree. I was a Baptist pastor for thirty years all in Kentucky: Crofton, Cromwell, Princeton, Corbin, and Winchester. During that time served as President of KY Baptist Convention and other positions. Since September '99 have been a full-time Evangelist preaching about 40 revival meetings a year. Have had two books published: Surviving and Thriving in Today's Ministry and Pastor and Staff Search Committee Guide both published by LifeWay. I am married to the former Sharon Daugherty of Ohio Co, KY (married in 1968). We live in Bowling Green, KY and have two children: Donny II, a Baptist preacher, PhD Graduate of Southern Seminary, and a New Testament Teacher and interim pastor, and Laura Beth, who is married, works in personnel management and lives in Winchester, KY.
