Doris's Story
Life
The old photo that I submitted was taken in 1947 when I was 8 years old and attended Cornell Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois.
The recent photo that I submitted was taken in August of 2004, when my first and only great granddaughter was only 5 days old.
My granddaughter is now 5 years old, and...Expand for more
she has a brother who is 18 months.
My grandson also has a son, born in May. That makes 3 great grandchildren, along with 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
My husband died in October 2008. I am doing much better than I expected.
This summer I went to England and Scotland for 18 days and had a lot of fun.
