Doris's Story
After being away for twenty years, (Yikes! That sounds like a long time!) my family and I moved back to the area in 2004.
Since high school, I have worked as a door to door sales person, in restaurants from dishwasher to manager, at a few covinence stores, for the PA Department of Education, for Penn State, for Newt Gingrich, at Leanpe Technical School in Armstrong County PA, and currently at Corry High School.
I've lived in State College, Harrisburg, and Rural Valley in PA, as well as Oak Harbor and Tacom...Expand for more
a Washington, and Cinci, Ohio.
Once I left, I never thought I would come back, but having a family made me look at things a little differently. My husband, Steve, and I have four children. Moving back here brought us closer to all the relatives. It is amazing, though, how many people with whom you are great friends for so long move on too. I really thought when we moved back, that I would be able to pick up old friendships easily. Jobs, kids and everyday living seem to block that from happening very often.
