Doris's Story

Life Hi. It has been fun to catch up with some of you on here since 2002. I married in Dec. '73 and was the wife of an active duty Air Force pilot for 19 years. We moved 11 times in 16 and a half years. Loads of Fun!!! We had two daughters, Jody and Jennifer and they are the love of my life. We moved here to Las Vegas in '93. My biggest joy was to move into a house i knew we would not have to move from unless we chose to...no more Air Force moves!!! My home is beautiful and I teach First Grade here. Early in 2003 my husband decided he did not want to do the "Family" thing anymore.....long story---he had to find himself...he will be looking for a while and so we are now divorced----a very lengthy ordeal that almost went to trial until he came to his senses and knew it would not be good in there for him. I am adjusting to being single again after 29 years of marriage. I got the house and am ...Expand for more
so grateful and thank God every day for seeing me through all of that. Would love to hear from anyone. For my high school friends, I met up with Ellen, Vickie, Cathy A. and Shelly after Christmas in '04 in Carlisle. It was so much fun. For my college friends i met up with Karen Wagner and Debbie Sheaffer in April of '04 in Fla. and then again in June '05 in Chicago. Also I went to Hawaii to see Karen and spend time with her just a few weeks ago...Aug. '05---Maui is truly paradise on earth....I highly recommend it. And try the lava flows while you are there...!!! Need to add to this now that years have passed. My youngest daughter got married in Oct. '04 and they have given me two beautiful grandkids.....Noah age 8 and Bailey age 2.....will be going to Idaho in less than a week to see them. So glad teachers have off in the summer. My goal is to teach just one more year. Got to run. Dori
