Dorothy's Story
I attended schools through the Perkiomen Valley School System from Kindergarten through the beginning of 12th grade. I was taken from my foster home of 13 years and went to a second home and attended Pottsgrove High School until February 1982, when my foster parents decided to move to Elverson. My last high school was Twin Valley, where I graduated from, in the midst of having to go to a third foster home thanks to my foster sister. I went to Charleston, West Virginia after graduation and attended Job Corps, then went to college at West Virginia Institute of Technology for Nursing. I left with my husband and moved to Cleveland, where I raised 2 beautiful grown daughters and now I am a grandmother of 3.
I currently work at MCPc, where I am a Tier 1 Configuration Technician. I am the project Lead for the ECOT Program where I assist to configure and ship Lenovo Tiny Computers and iView Tablets to Ohio's online school students. also do diagnostics and repair work along with reimaging and reconfiguration to tablet returns. I also work with our End of Life department where we repair and refurbish office equipment to be dispursed to businesses and residential customers.
I don't have any pets, but I still love cats and dogs. I'm not into TV shows that much, but I enjoy watching many police shows like The First 48 and CSI Miami. I also like to watch Law and Order. I enjoy watching all kinds of sports on TV, and like to watch the news.

nior year at Twin Valley- Beverly Perella. In the midst of having to leave Perkiomen Valley in my senior year due to family issues, then having to leave a second foster home and Pottsgrove High School 3 months shy of graduating, this lady was a major miracle who held me together when I thought my world was crushing down on me. It was hard to male friends at both schools because all of my friends were at Perkiomen Valley, and they thought I had turned my back on them, so I ended up not having a support base to lean on as I went through dealing with the remnants from being molested in one home for years and having to deal with a sister who had an affair with our foster father in the second home.
I am much better of a person today, but still dealing with loss of family and friends because of my past. I have new family here in Cleveland, and am reconnecting with some friends from my past who have an understanding of what happened so long ago. For those who don't, I am happy to share my side since the other parties involved seemed to have had their say...just to set the record straight and to finally get the real truth out about the nightmare I lived, and how it has affected me.
I am at peace about most of my life, and now am dealing with stage 3 cancer of the colon, lymph nodes and breast cancer. I fight the good fight on a daily basis, and live life to the fullest, all while still working and providing for my family. It is my hope that I can reconnect with friends from the past, and to be able to share memories, along with creating new ones.
