Dorothy's Story
After graduation,the second part of my life began in Philadelphia. I was married for ten years with two wonderful daughters. I went back to school (I had dropped out of Rutgers) year round and received a B.S. degree in elementary/ special education. I later graduated with honors from Beaver College which is now Arcadia University with a Masters in Education Leadership/Principal certification. My work has been focused on behavioral and emotional support for students within the academic environment. lphia School District on January 8th, I plan to complete a educational manual and certification in trauma and loss for children. I am excited and look forward to opening a new door. I can spend time with my 4 grandchildren and both of my daugters.
My interests have broaden since I was that cheerleader studying Latin. I am certified in Reiki and an avid learner of anything to do with holistic health.
Working in education for the Philadelphia School District for 31 years. I was nominated Teacher of the Year 2009. Presently Involved in training for children with (PTS) trauma, making jewelry, reiki level practioner and working in church ministeries.
