Dorothy's Story
Life
After graduating from Spring Valley, I took some classes and finally got a job at Lamont Observatory. I met my husband David there. We have two sons who are in college. In 1978, we moved to Metairie. Since 1988, I have been Parade Chairman of a children's Mardi Gras Krewe. We do a complete Mardi Gras experience for children. This year we celebrate the Krewe's 23rd Anniversary. Besides children supported by parents, we also have children sponsored by businesses and individuals who are in some way...Expand for more
challenged. That is where I get my greatest joy!
On February 16, 2005, we became grandparents of a beautiful baby boy, Jaden Gage Cooke. He is our son Christopher's son.
School
From K-5th Grade, I attended Archer St. School in Freeport, N.Y. In 6th Grade, I moved to Medford and attended Tremont Ave. School. After that I went to Patchogue Jr. High, then Patchogue High School thru Sophmore year. For Jr. & Sr. years I went to Spring Valley High School, Spring Valley, N.Y. I graduated in 1965.
