Doug's Story
High school... such a long time ago. Grades 9 & 10 at Trenton High. Grades 11 and 12 (and 12 again) in Whitehorse and then off to Germany for a couple incredible years. While attending Lahr Senior School, I sang for a fantastic German band. I went back in 1996 for a reunion concert and again the next year to perform on TV... what an experience!
Moved to Ottawa in 1970 and have stayed in and around there ever since. I worked at a number of different jobs, but playing music and singing was always the best in many ways. I still play and sing for fun...Expand for more
. I have a nice (somewhat large) collection of guitars and other musical instruments.
I designed websites (among other things). Remember the song "Happy Together" by The Turtles? I designed and maintained their website for 15 years from 1997.
In 2009 returned to Germany to sing with the band again and then twice more in 2011 and 2012. Another trip to Germany in April 2018. I thought it was supposed to be 2 shows (the grand finale), but both were sold out, so we'll do it again in the next year or two. .
Life is good. I keep playing and singing.
