Doug's Story
Life
After graduating from John F. Kennedy high school in 1979 I attended William Penn College, now university, in Oskaloosa Iowa graduating with a degree in history.While at William Penn I continued to run cross country and made life long friends I continue to keep in touch with.
In January of 1987 I started a part time job at the Cedar Rapids Public Library and in June of 1989 I accepted a full time job and have been there ever since and plan to retire from there in 10-13 years.
I have made 3 trips to England/Wales as part of a small tour group and would like to return in the future.
I was married from 2001-2003 and we have since divorced and I am happily living...Expand for more
the single life once again but still looking for the true love of my life.
Did not attend the 30 year reunion as I had no interest in doing so. If someone really wants to find me it is not very hard to do so since I work at the public library here in Cedar Rapids 5-6 days a week.
Love to walk and explore the history of Cedar Rapids. Have taken 4 guided walking tours this year of various areas of town and plan on taking more in 2013. Love history of all kinds and love to visit historical sites in the Midwest.
Have attended many conventions related to the BBC TV series Doctor Who and plan on going to the one outside of Chicago in 2012 and the one in L.A. in 2013.
