Doug's Story
Life
After working in the media field for a spell, I found I liked the excitement of law enforcement and have been doing that since 1996, at both the state and local level. Currently working as a Deputy Sheriff in the Florida Panhandle, as does two of my younger brothers, in fact we all work at the same agency on different shifts.
It is a changing world, one that is becoming more violent as time passes and more complex as court decisions come down that affect how one does their job.

Live on a 42 acre spread high on a hill and it gives me peace and solitude, with just being able to listen to some bobwhite quail while sitting on the porch is relaxing. Have a lot of grass to cut, firewood to gather and mending fences are all things to take up free time.
Trying to stay on top of computer technology since everything at work is now computer-related, whether it be from dispatching to report taking and in car cameras, everything becomes more cyber than in the old days.
