Doug's Story

Life Married, 3 sons, 2 grandsons, fiber optics communication engineering, still play sax, too young to retire, miss my Hollywood friends, especially my singing and instrumental friends. New England is one of the most beautiful places in the USA. Having lived in Hollywood, Florida, as a student and active church member, my love for a Hollywood person continues. College I attended Fitchburg State, U of Lowell, Fla Inst of Technology, and even taught courses in evening divisions, plus in-plant courses at some employers. Five degrees ago(BSEE, BSCS, BS-Math, MSCE, & MBA) it seemed the thing to do, Sure, I've used the knowledge. It provides a foundation to build upon. Remember to build! Remember to challenge! Remember, John Glenn went into space twice. It was my team that put him up there the first time! Today, new books on "how-to-do-it" are being written. Go write one! It might sell, and you'll feel good having tried to share something. My three sons each have their...Expand for more
own businesses, to which I claim no credit. If there's one thing I tried to give them, it was that every morning you look in the mirror and see the person that will control your day, so pray for guidance and go for it! You don't get classes in success from those who teach in big buildings. Go outside and look at the sky, then find a way to do some good thing that noone else has done....or, help someone do just that! And, follow your heart. (11-1-09) WOW, life is really moving fast! Got two grandsons 11 & 13; they are good at computerized stuff. Anyone got a technique that gets kids to read some of the classics? Thoughts for the moment: Get up! Get moving! Read ingredient labels before the stuff kills you! Hug your spouse! Give your friends a call! Remember your true love; it keeps you going! Do NOT mess with emotions; they come naturally! You cannot go back; only look to your future with love in your heart until you are there! Pray constantly! Love to you, Doug, 11-1-09.
