Douglas's Story
After I graduated I went to Texas A&M University Kingsville for 1 and half years. Then I transferred to Texas A&M University in College Station and continued to work on my undergraduate degree in Agriculture Science in the Spring of 1996. I got married to a wonderful person that I dated in High School. She was from Harlingen and was going to school at A&M (now you know why I transferred) We got married in June of 1999 and have been married for 9 years now. I finally graduated in December of 1999 and started teaching High School AG at Harlingen South High School. My wife was still living and working in College...Expand for more
Station and we thought that she would move down and then they offered her a different position and I moved back to College Station and started working for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service in June 2001. We had our first child in February 2001 his name is Tyler. In April of 2004 we decided that we needed to be closer to family and we moved back down to the Valley. I still work for Texas agricultural Extension Service but it is now called the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. We had our second child in May 2007 her name is Emily. We live in Edinburg and visit family in Harlingen and Los Fresnos often.
