Douglas's Story

Following Murrah, I graduated from Ole Miss in English and Classical Languages in '70. Went on to graduate studies at U Virginia, back to Ole Miss, and then to Dallas, where I received a PhD in British Lit. Communication Department at Columbus State Comm College. Married 20 years to a beautiful woman named Linda, surrogate grandfather to her many grandchildren. Just livin' out my days in peace, writing fiction ("Wasted Year: The Last Hippies of Ole Miss") and some poetry (collection "Words on the Moon," 1992 from Mid-List Press).
