Douglas's Story

Life Well, after travelling around with my mom and step-dad all over, including graduating from high school at GDHS, I took the plunge and joined the Air Force...Ended up doing that for over 24 years and retired in 1998 as a Senior Master Sergeant...A great, great time!! Had 11 moves in 24 years (CA, ME, Spain, TX, NY, Saudi (Embassy Duty), OH, MD, DC...Found my niche in Harrisburg, PA (6 miles from my real father's house) with the Feds as an Info Management Specialist for Federal Highways--I love my job!!! 2 fantastic sons (23 and 21; oldest graduated from Embry-Riddle Aero Univ in Daytona, FL and is now in on the job training as a Air Traffic Controller in Jacksonville, FL...He loves it down there and is doing very well...My youngest is in the AF in NC (Seymour-Johnson AFB) and he returned in May 2003 from a 4 month s...Expand for more
tint in Qatar (weapons systems specialist) in support of the Iraq deal...I'm very proud of both of my sons!)...Just remarried in June 2003 (it was an awesome wedding and reception!) and now live with a totally awesome high school teacher and our 80 pound Basset Hound in Pottsville, PA (home of Yuengling Beer---good stuff!)... I got great news over Thanksgiving (2003) that I am going to be a grandfather (I have a step-granddaughter already and another step-granddaughter on the way) sometime in April (it's a boy!)...The Justice Of The Peace deal was done with my youngest son and my new daughter-in-law already and the "real wedding ceremony" will be in Myrtle Beach, SC in June or July...OK, I'm rambling here, so I'll quit...Hope to hear from some of my old friends and classmates!! Otis in my recently acquired mint 2003 Toyota Tundra V8. The look says, "Come on Dad, let's go for a ride up the line for a McDonald's cheeseburger"

This is what all of the Walmarts need in front of their stores! I no longer shop at St. Clair, PA Walmart after seeing 12 people strutting around the store with no mask on. I am undergoing Chemo treatments for a rare cancer
