Life While in NFA I did not do much of anything, just did enough to get by. I surely thought I would be a farmer living in the same town for life. My father worked at Dupont since the Great Depression and died before ever retiring. I worked there for a year and thought that was the place to be, although I really did not like the place at all. Since junior high thru NFA, I was at the YMCA nightly. Iwas in many athletic events, physical training events there. I am still in touch with many friends from those days. I loved watching the fights on tv on Friday nights there! When I joined the military from the National Guard, they trained me and sent me to college and educated me. I majored in Oriental Linguistics at London at Holborn University and Tokyo after living 5 years in Japan. Former college translator of Chinese., Online tutor of Japanese and basic Chinese (Commodore Systems) Tutoring English to the Japanese speaking and Japanese to the English speaking people. Spent most of my military in the Far East: Tokyo, Japan, Naha and Kadena, Okinawa. Travel often to Japan and Okinawa., writing cultural and Okinawan dialect language articles. Retired: Office of Special Investigation.(USAF)Headquarters FEAF Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan Still quite busy with computers, I still work online for an American and a Japanese company. In my spare time I research NFA classes and yearbooks. Since 1996 I have been the only active online Newburgh-New Windsor (New York State) Historian. I enjoy Updating class listings and locating old friends and chatting about the past and present. I am the total nostalgic!
