I was a Freshman in 1942, my first year at the Wildcats school. An illness kept me from completing my Sophmore year and then I was drafted into the Army and ended up in the Phillipines and occupation of Japan. A great ezperience for a young boy who had never been anywhere. While I was in school we lived on prarie college road near the Interstate NOW. Then near a large farm and creeks. d some summers on farms, another great experience but going to our school was a very good experience that I would not trade for anything. As I remember one student had a CAR and I remember all the girls gathering around when he drove in to park at school. WE had to ride the bus !! My granddaughter said riding the bus was not COOL, Ha !! Memories after all are all we really have . Anon and amen
