June 2013, Strasburg, PA, Strasburg Railroad 4-8-0 #475 is on the way back to town with a one car freight.  This is a freight---not a photo freight although they did have passengers in the caboose.

June 25, 2011, as part of that years NRHS Convention held un Tacoma, WA, 4449 ran over Stampede Pass to Easton and back. Seen here at the top of Stampede on the eastward trip.
February 1974, Amtrak E-8 #326 has brought Train #6, the eastbound "San Francisco Zephyr", thru Emigrant Gap out onto Smart Ridge above the South Fork of the Yuba River. This unit was formerly UP #929A.

A clear Sunday in February of 1971 as SP Train #11, the southbound "Cascade" makes it's stop in Berkeley. This is the last stop before it's final stop at 16th St, in Oakland.
April 1996, SP AC4400CW #208 approaching Andover  above Cold Stream Canyon West of Truckee.
Summer of 1973(?)  SP GP35 #6590 leads commute train #140 into San Jose. It was  test as SP was shopping for new power with the upcoming retirement of the aging F-M Train Master units.
Mid-August 1971, Amtrak's "North Coast Hiawatha" makes it's station stop in Yakima, WA. on its journey East.
Gallitzen, PA, May 18, 2013  ex-NKP 2-8-4 "Berkshire" #765 exits the tunnel which must have a name, on a run West from Altoona and return.
