Dru's Story
I find it hard to believe that almost 30 years have passed since high school graduation!
Professionally, I'm currently a busy Realtor (RE/MAX) who specializes in residential real estate and investment properties. Since 2006, I've also owned a concert/event promotion company called P-Town Productions that specializes in bringing nationally touring acts to northern Colorado, where I've lived since 1990. I took a brief break from Real Estate and owned a music venue that was also a craft beer & wine bar, and a cafe/coffee shop. Two years of that was enough to teach me that the flexibility of real estate consulting was much more up my alley :)
I love producing and attending live music (esp. summer festivals), entertaining friends and just hanging out with my family and having fun!
When I'm not working, I spend a lot of time volunteering. I've produced a video, created a cookbook, organized successful auctions, planned several 3-day conferences for hundreds of people, and ...Expand for more
produced a number of charity concerts and events with performers including Holly Near and Beth Nielsen Chapman. I sometimes think I spend more time volunteering than I do working!
I was married for many years to a Del Norte High School graduate and I'm the proud mother of two amazing children, one boy and one girl, ages 19 and 16. They are smart and creative, and generally pretty nice to each other :)
My son recently graduated and is now living in Washington State - working hard and going to school in the gorgeously green northwest.. nothing like New Mexico/Colorado up there! He's a social activist, and an amazing percussionist, who dreams of living in Germany and working as a Civil Engineer around the world. He's awesome!
My daughter is classed as an "Academic Athlete" by her school. She's a National Honor Society member and an accomplished dancer and musician and gives her heart and soul to everything she undertakes. I couldn't ask for a more wonderful daughter!
