Dwayne's Story
Life
After school i went to work at an electronics factory as a mechanic for the engineering department. I worked there for 11 years and go tired of the same boring things day after day. I resigned and went to work in the construction field. I worked there for 2 years and joined the navy. I spent 4 years in the navy and retured to the construction field. I still work in this field today. I've raised 7 children since high school. One i adopted. 3 to my first wife. One to another girl and 2 step chilren.
I have 3 lovely grandchildren ages 1,2,3 and have been with my second wife for 15 years now.My first marriage lasted 7. The rest of the years i was either single or in and out of relationships.A couple being my fault but most were not.I
have lived in Virginia and here in good old Penns Valley all my life.
School
I guess you can say i was the kid that no one really understood. I say i'm the kid no one took the time to really get to know. Some would have called me the bully.Others the cool guy.It was just to bad that most didn't try to find out.I wrestled and played football until 9th grade wh...Expand for more
en i got my knee ripped apart. I got average grades B and C and had all my credits plus in 12th. I only had one girlfriend for a month from Penns Valley although i would have liked to get to know a couple others. But i just didn't fit into that click. So i just never really got involved with most of my classmates. What a shame.
Military
I entered the U.S. Navy on Jan 5, 1981 during the Iran hostage crisis. I gradated #1 in my class and got my choice of orders. I requested NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach Virginia where i spent all four years. It was requested by my ex wife to get out or get divorced. I did both. I was a PO2 when i got out coming up for 1st class. I should have stayed in. I was a J79 jet mech, CDI, Satety PO,SPO,afterburner shop supervisor,Tool PO,Publications PO and Shop crewleader for the J79 shop. I was the last PO to build the final J79 for decomition to the marines at NAS Norfolk in 1985. I also helped with the final test cell operation with this engine before becoming the afterburner shop supervisor 3rd shift.I met alot of good people there and wish i would have kept in contact.
