Dwayne's Story
Life
I'm currently living in Cave Creek, Arizona (Phoenix metro area) working for a large healthcare company as Vice-President in charge of Information Technology Finance and Operations for a 40 hospital company. I am married to a wonderful woman who I met on the job, Ana, who is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Sociology and USC with a Master's Degree in Health Administration. We were married on April 26, 2003.
After graduating from Tates Creek in Lexington, Kentucky, I went to college at the University of Chicago, where I graduated with a BA in Philosophy. The torturous academic environment there drove me away from academia and I found myself working in the computer industry, first as a technical writer in Chicago, then as a Project Manager/Consultant in San Francisco, where I moved in 1988. Along the way I learned to play guitar, wrote a lot of songs and played in a couple of bands.

tive position with a large healthcare organization in LA, where I moved in 1993. Eventually I became the Chief Information Officer there. In 1998, we were acquired by an even larger organization, and I became the VP for IT in the Southern California region, and then continued to transition to my current IT VP position.
I have not kept in touch with very many people from high school or college, but still think about those days - especially my high school Senior year friends and how we had fun but also tried to expose people to the more serious side of life, as much as we knew in Lexington 20 years ago.
Although the world has gone through many crises in that time, and will certainly go through many more, we must always look ahead and not give up on our dream of a better world, even if it is only for our children. We live in the beginning of an age of sacrifice, courage and, hopefully, wisdom. God willing, we will all rise to meet the challenge.
