Earl's Story
Life
After graduating from Wadena High
School, I attended Bemidji State
College, then graduated with a BA in
English from UMD; did graduate
work at the University of Oregon and
earned a PhD in English in 1970;
have been teaching in the English
department at Cleveland State
University since then, currently
serving as department Chair. I
published a book, "A Grammar of
Iconism," from Fairleigh Dic...Expand for more
kinson
University Press (1998), and have
another in press: "Folk-taxonomies
in Early English" (expected
publication date, 2002). Married to
Hazel Marie (Dillon) Anderson, with
daughters Jenny (a teacher in
Landis, North Carolina), Charlotte (a
product analyst with Progressive
Insurance in Cleveland), and Dan (a
senior in Spanish at Ohio State
