Earl Pickens:  

My family move back to Luxora in 1961 when I was in the nineth grade We were a blended family of the Pickens and Burns, 11 kids in all, a wild bunch to say the least. I joined the Air Force in 1965 Basic at San Antonio Texas, Tech. school at Biloxi Miss. Electronics training for 42 weeks, Smyrna Tenn. for aprox a year then Viet Nam for a year then Japan, Tachikawa AB and home Dec. 1969. I worked at GM in St Louis for awhile after I got out of the military, then Lockheed aircraft in Marietta Ga. In 1972 I got married the first time and moved to Illinois. Married for aprox 18 years and two lovely Daughters. married two other times and still with Margaret for aprox 14 years. I now have 6 Grandchildren 5 girls and one Grandson, he is now 6. I recently retired after 30 years with one company. Now buying my 6th home in Haubstadt Indiana. I like to travel, some of my hobbies include snow skiing, model lionel trains, and collecting antiques. I enjoy spending time with my family, both of my Daughters and Grandchildren live near me that is why I relocated to Indiana from Illinois. JULY 2008. I still live near Evansville Indiana, March 2012. I have two more granddaughters, 8 grandchildren in all.
