Ed's Story
I hope friends remember me as a sincere, funloving guy, with a good sense of humor who didn't take himself too seriously. My fondest memory of high school was winning the Mt Hamilton Basketball Championship against Piedmont Hills. The electricity of the crowd on the court that night and the down-to-the final buzzer climactic ending, will forever be etched in my mind. I remember getting a call from my trig teacher the next morning telling me I was going to pass his class with a C, rather than the D that I probably deserved. So I learned it wasn't necessarily what you know...but how you perform on the hardwood that really counts .
I didn't stay in San Jose very long. I joined the Air Force and traveled to the Philippines, where I met my best friend and soulmate, Teresita, whom I've been married to since 1972. That, in itself, is incredible, since my mother is Filipino and I had relatives there. I got to see the house my mother grew up in and even though I couldn't speak the language, I was fortunate to be able meet all of my relatives from my mom's side of the family

at the governments expense. Something I would have never experienced if I hadn't joined the Air Force. How cool is that?
We are now empty nesters with two grown kids; a daughter, Monica, and her husband Aaron, who have given us three beatiful grandkids, Mitchell,Hayden, and Miss Ava. My son Eric and his x wife Robyn, blessed us with 2 grandkids, Cruz, and Aysia. He later met his lovely current partner, Brandi, who had 3 beautiful kids of her own, Sergio, Alyana, and Elijah. And together, they brought to the family our beautiful grandson, Jayden. All our grandkids are pure joy. We feel so blessed. Had we known how much fun grandkids are, we would have had them first.
We lived in Washington state (Richland) for 31 yrs and then decided to stop shoveling snow and retire in Las Vegas in 2012.
My only real regret from high school was not dating more and getting to know more people better than I did. I had a close circle of friends and dated pretty much one girl in high school and we split up shortly after. Life is too short, so sqweeze every precious moment you can from it!
