Ed Higginbotham:  

I hope friends remember me as a sincere, funloving guy, with a good sense of humor who didn't take himself too seriously. My fondest memory of high school was winning the Mt Hamilton Basketball Championship against Piedmont Hills. The electricity of the crowd on the court that night and the down-to-the final buzzer climactic ending, will forever be etched in my mind. I remember getting a call from my trig teacher the next morning telling me I was going to pass his class with a C, rather than the D that I probably deserved. So I learned it wasn't necessarily what you know...but how you perform on the hardwood that really counts . I didn't stay in San Jose very long. I joined the Air Force and traveled to the Philippines, where I met my best friend and soulmate, Teresita,whom I've been married to since 1972. That, in itself, is incredible, since my mother is Filipino and I had relatives there.
