Ed's Story
Life
After MSHS, I graduated from Georgetown College and then worked in Mt Sterling, Lexington, Jackson and then my job took me to Huntington, WV. I was in the Coal industry for over 20 years and then joined Merrill Lynch, where I will finish my career...I hope before age 60. I married Chris Beard from Los Angeles in 1975. We met at college.
We have two daughters, Erin Elizabeth Meehan (27)and Sarah Christine Kerr (25). Erin graduated from the US Naval Academy and Sarah from Ohio University & Thomas Jefferson School of Law. han and Sarah married another classmate from the Academy, Kenneth Kerr of Philadelphia, PA in 2004. Erin & Kevin live in Norfolk, VA and Sarah & Kenny live in San Diego, CA. Both have two children, so I spend a lot of time either flyig 7 hours west to SD or driving 7 hours east to Norfolk.
Four grandchildren born between 2006 and 2008 keeps us busy. They all call me Boohbah after the PBS show....I guess I look like the characters on the show.
