Ed's Story
Life
Born in Croatia, immigrated to US in 1956. After Fordson, six years in the Army as a musician, last four in France. Lived in Colorado since 1967. BSEE from U. of Colorado, 1970, some grad aschool. Worked in the computer industry, several own start-ups. Ran for Congress in 1980.

College
I squeezed four years of engineering school into two and a half years at University of Colorado at Denver 1968-1970. Didn't have much of a social life at school, but I paid for food and shelter by playing piano i...Expand for more
n some bygone night clubs of Denver: Tender Trap, Top of the Rockies, Chinatown, Heart of Denver.
Started grad school in Computer Sci, taught programming as a TA, worked as programming advisor in the "computer lab" (a bunch of keypunch machines). Didn't finish Master's because I got a much more interesting job in May 1972.
Military
Army basic training at Ft. Knox, KY, and US Naval School of Music in DC in 1960. 384th Army Band in Ft. Eustis, VA, until 1962, 118th Army Band in Verdun, France, until 1966.
Really tough duty there: mostly entertaining at wine festivals in Burgundy.
