Ed's Story
Its been more then a year since I last updated, more like two I guess, so hear goes. I have now been retired from the Air Force more then a year, my last day at work was the 1st Aug 08 completing a 30 year career. (Freedom 49) Since this time I have been spending my days building a home up on a Mountain in the South Okanogan, that would be in BC for those that didn¿t do so well in geography, or was that just me? I do have quite a bit done but lots more to go, this has been my full time job, not bad eh, I live on the job sight in a 5th Wheel with my two dogs. I have made a few more contacts but not two many as for some time I had been without power so no computer, was even hauling my water for awhile, but don¿t feel sorry, I didn¿t mind one bit. I don¿t have all that much more to add as really my time has been spent building so I will leave it at that.
Written two years ago but now with updates
Life
A year has passed since I first posted a few things here on Class Mates and felt it time to maybe do a little update. In this last year I have made contact with a few old friends and acquaintances that I had not seen or heard from since leaving high school. While on a trip back to Montreal this summer I even had the opportunity to have lunch with a person who¿s friendship goes back ...Expand for more
to the 4th Grade and whom I had not seen since the end of high school, it was amazing. There was also some sad news in the loss of a good friend that many in the class of 76 would have known. I¿m not going to change much in this bio as I guess the idea is to try and fill in the last 30 years, can you believe its been more then 30 years. Sue (Charitonidis) and I have now been married 30 years as of the 24th Nov 09. We had two baby boys, men now. Alex, our youngest is 24 and in the military, Air Force like his old man, an Aviation Technician. Eric, our eldest is now 27 and has competed a degree at the University of Manitoba and aspired to be a novelist, in the mean time he pays the rent managing a Blockbuster in Winnipeg. My career in the Air Force has enabled our family to live from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast where I ended my 30 year career as the Squadron Chief Warrant Officer for 443 (MH) Squadron Victoria. Sue has a great job that she loves, a technical annalist in an aerospace company contracted for the maintenance of military aircraft. I have seen much of the world and done a few things that many could only imagine. It¿s been a real life experience and I have enjoyed every min of it, ok, maybe not every min but it¿s been a good life so far, hope it has been for you too.
