Eddie's Story
I attended William S. Maxey Elementary School. Then i when to Charles R. Drew High. in 1971 Integration was implemented and i was bussed to Ocoee the school i was taken from was brand new and the school i was bussed to was condemned but the whites was not going to let their children go to a black school so we had to go there i was a rebel so i was sent to wymore which was a last chance for a undesirable i was mad at the world but Mr. Boyd knew how to reach me, and i started trying to establish myself. eventually Jesus Christ started whispering in my ear and you know i started to listen and...Expand for more
all is good. i retired at 49 and both my homes are paid for and i am happy and i didn't have to take the pathway that i though i had to take. through Christ i could see other options continued my education on my own and was blessed to land an administrated position with Beverly Enterprises and i never looked back. I have a wife and three children and three grandchildren and life is good and so is my god. I know people that knew me will find this hard to believe but god loved us all before we loved ourselves and he thought that i was worth saving and you know what, he was right.
