Eddie's Story
My name is Eddie Ferguson. I am a Texas native born in Corpus Christi, Texas. I have relocated to Desoto Tx . I have raised five children (1 Girl and 4 boys) all but on lives in Texas. I have seven grand children. I attended several Colleges finally getting a BS from Willey College in 80 and Several Graduate School finally receiving a M. Ed. from University of Nevada, Las Vegas 2010 and hope to graduate University of Phoenix June 2017 with a PhD in education. I am married to a wonderful lady (Carole) who has just finished successfully treatment of breast cancer. God has carried us through a year of academic struggle and made each day a treasure and testimony. Carole graduated after retiring in May with a BS in phycology and a Master program of University of Phoenix. I enjoy working for the improvement of education especially for those with disabilities. s hard on them; requiring education and job training. I encouraged academic success and believe that the church should be involved in the process by having after school programs and supporting those who were in college and technical school. I have a club that all my student join when they graduate for high school and they continue as teacher and lead lives encouraging other to achieve academy. I enjoy running away with my wife, preaching, teaching and photography. I hope to one day offer insight to parents of children with disabilities that will lead to early intervention and better learning opportunities for those with learning issues. My dissertation research will look at teacher perspectives??? on curriculum alignment in self-contained classes at the middle and high school level.
