Eddie's Story
I joined the Marine Corps just out of high school. I served for 23 years, always in one of the four Marine Corps ground infantry divisions. Originally I was an electronics technician, and I also went through radio operator school. I served in Tank, Light Armored Vehicle (LAV), communications, artillery, force reconnaissance, and ground infantry units. I also served as a Drill Instructor at Marine Corps boot camp Parris Island Sc on two occasions (1985-1988) & (1992-1994) where I helped to train over 20 Platoons and approximately 3,000 recruits. I retired in early 2005 as a Sergeant Major. I went to night school and received a bachelors degree in business Administration and electronics technology.
I am happily married and I have five lovely daughters, ages from 16-2...Expand for more

I just had my first novel published this year. It is called, "Ugly Babies Of West End." It is humor and I have received very good feedback and reviews. The book is about growing up in Washington's "West End."
I live in Hawaii now and a few years ago I started my own construction company called, "ZECKA Home Improvement, Inc. The five letters of "ZECKA" are the first letters of my five daughters first or middle names (Zelma, Erica, Cheri, Kim, Ashley).
I was a pretty shy kid and lived in pretty poor circumstances growing up. I had only a few friends growing up but they were truly great friends to me. I cannot think of a better childhood than the one I had, and I would not change a thing about it if I could.
I look forward to hearing from you.
