Ede's Story
Life

I hold a degree in Sculpture. I am currently Foundry Manager at Shidoni Foundry.
I find the language of art a fundamental form of communication. My art is my hearts voice, my way of claiming truth and giving it form.
The creation process is a physical extension of my hearts desire. Words, thoughts, intentions and prayers become images, ideas, form and expression. Linked. Complete.
As a child, I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. Without hesitation, I would answer, Âan Artist and a Mom. I was never without crayons, paper and my dolly. My grandfather further nurtured that love of art when I was a very small girl. We would spend hours down in his basement workshop and he literally gave me the free reign over all manner of tools and equipment, allowing me to create to my hearts content.
Later, I studied Art and Art History in Scandinavia. It was at this time that I visited VigelandÂs Park. I was suddenly face to face with form that spoke to me in a language I recognized immediately. It was at that moment - I knew I was a sculptor.

en the great honor of being First Assistant to Sculptor, Gyuri Hollosy on Aspirations of Liberty, a 19.5Â bronze memorial of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution on permanent display in Boston, MA. This solidified my desire to create works in bronze and I have been doing so ever since.
Now the grace and gift of my life is that I am both a Mom and Sculptor - dreams of a lifetime become reality.
I know now that I was an artist before I was born and I will remain so after my death. I know that my path has been always toward this place in my life.
I truly miss my dear friend Kellye - who was the life long keeper of the secrets and who kept me real and true. No one ever had a better friend, ever. She will alsways live in the deepest places of my heart.
My daughter Karly was so named so that she would have the same initials as Kell, KC. Karly is an amazing young woman, artist, human being. I also have a daughter Cheyenne who is so smart, talented and clever. These two girls have really taught me how to be a better me. They are blood of my blood, my joy, my life. I am SO lucky to be their Mom. You should all meet them - you would know instantly there is hope for the future.
