Edgar's Story

Workplace I began my first real job with IBM in upstate New York between 1981 thru 1993. IBM laid off for the first time in `93, but the experience I had gathered with IBM got me ready for Field Engineering with Main Frames and all sorts of computer hardware and software. I now work for a company out of Dallas called CompuCom and at this time I am fairly well rounded in technologies dealing with IBM, Dell, Hewlett Packa...Expand for more
rd, Compaq, Microsoft, Toshiba, and many others. My professional title at this time is Networking Engineer. Titles in the computer business are extremely varied as you move through the IT ladder. To this date I have been a Units Test Technician, A S.E.T. Test Technician, a Systems Test Technician, Field Engineer, Senior Field Engineer, and a Networking Technician. It's a great job when you work for the right company.
