Edith's Story
Life
After graduating from KU, I joined the Peace Corps and served in South Korea, teaching English. I stayed in Korea for 3½ years, and then returned to the US. After that I ended up in Iran teaching English on a two-year contract. Unfortunately, seven months into my contract I was forced to flee the country because of the Iranian Revolution. That was 1978. d, an exchange student from Sweden. We married in 1980 and I moved to Sweden where I have been living ever since. I have two grown daughters. The eldest is attending law school here in Sweden and the youngest is autistic. Their father is now deceased, so I spend most of my time teaching English online from home and puttering around the house. I like traveling and manage a trip to someplace in Europe about once a year.
